This is the third of a 4-workshop sequence on the Technological Foresight of the Virtual Worlds, to be held online between January 16th and March 27th, 2025.

The events are organised by OPENVERSE partner Inspiring Futures – with the assistance of Martel Innovate and Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI) – targeting experts and researchers working from within diverse specialities and institutional/organisational anchoring and their related focuses, on how virtual worlds and more broadly the Web 4.0 reality may develop in the future.

This session will be introduced by a short presentation on “The geopolitics of Virtual Worlds: an Asian perspective”, which will be delivered by Professor Claudio Feijoo Gonzales, Jean Monnet Chair on Technology Diplomacy at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and former Co-Director of the Sino-Spanish Campus at Tongji University in Shanghai, who is considered one of the key EU-based experts on the Chinese technological landscape.

Although it is an invitation-only event, those interested in joining can write a message to [email protected]
