OPENVERSE has announced the launch of its new Ambassador Network Programme, a stakeholder engagement initiative designed to strengthen collaboration with European SMEs, creators, and industry professionals working in XR and immersive virtual worlds.
The programme comes at a pivotal stage for the OPENVERSE project as it prepares to publish several key deliverables ahead of the project’s conclusion later this year. Through the initiative, OPENVERSE aims to establish a network of highly engaged ambassadors and creators who will help expand awareness, promote adoption, and support community engagement around the project’s outcomes and ecosystem activities.
The ambassador network will serve as a bridge between OPENVERSE and the broader European XR ecosystem, particularly SMEs exploring open standards, immersive technologies, and Virtual World innovation. Ambassadors will actively collaborate with the project team to co-create educational and community-driven content while helping disseminate key insights, tools, and opportunities emerging from the project.

OPENVERSE partners are preparing a programme which is intended to foster stronger dialogue around critical industry topics including open standards, policies supporting SMEs, and real-world adoption of immersive use cases.
As part of the initiative, ambassadors will contribute by:
- Co-authoring educational, promotional, and community-focused content
- Testing OPENVERSE tools and providing usability feedback
- Amplifying announcements and campaigns across social platforms and community channels
- Hosting or supporting onboarding sessions and community discussions
- Participating in tutorials, demos, and short-form content showcasing OPENVERSE features
- Engaging with users and collecting community insights and feedback
- Supporting partnership activations and ecosystem collaborations
- Helping onboard new creators, contributors, and community members
OPENVERSE also plans to actively promote participating ambassadors through its communication channels and potentially feature them during the project’s final event in Brussels. The initiative is expected to provide ambassadors with increased visibility among a diverse audience that includes industrial companies, XR innovators, policymakers, and EU-level stakeholders.
The programme will additionally encourage contributors to share testimonials and experiences related to the OPENVERSE Observatory, highlighting the opportunities and value the platform can create for SMEs and immersive technology professionals.
By combining creator collaboration, industry engagement, and ecosystem outreach, the Ambassador Network Programme represents another step in OPENVERSE’s mission to build a more open, connected, and community-driven future for virtual worlds and immersive technologies in Europe.
